PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS (PGRs) - GROWTH INHIBITORS

Products which claim to limit root development or vegetative development of a plant are considered to be PGRs which are subject to regulation under pesticide legislation. These claims also include modification of physiogical, morphological and reproductive plant processes. Examples of such claims are sprout or germination inhibition, tree fruit flower thinning, sucker control, prevention of pre-harvest fruit drop and fruit ripening effects. |

REGULATION |
Plant Growth Regulators which inhibit or limit crop growth or development are regulated under the Pest Control Products Act and Regulations which are administered by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency of Health Canada.
