Field Research

Located in Eastern Ontario, Zeamax Agriculture provides research trial locations in the shorter season corn and soybean growing zones (PMRA Zone 5B).

Conventional Field Crop Trials

With extensive field research experience, Zeamax Agriculture can provide your company with small-plot trials for pesticide, plant growth regulator, fertilizer or crop variety evaluation.

Crops which can be evaluated include field corn, soybeans, cereals (spring wheat, barley, oats), dry beans, canola (spring), forages, apples, small fruit (strawberries, raspberries) and vegetable crops.

Greenhouse trials can be conducted on ornamental flower crops, tomatoes and cucumbers.

Access to extensive commerial turfgrass sod production in this area allows for specialization in product evaluation in irrigated or non-irrigated turfgrass.

Grower applied trials of experimental treatments conducted under Federal Research Permit can be coordinated and evaluated to provide commercial scale product evaluation data.

Plants With Novel Traits (PNTs) - Confined Field Trials

For plants with novel traits, the conduct of field trials in accordance with confined conditions in compliance with the requirements of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is offered. Zeamax Agriculture offers experience in the operation, in-crop monitoring and post-harvest monitoring of confined field trials for plants with novel traits.
